Frequently Asked Questions
Honest answers to the questions we hear most.
What is RecycleDisciple?
RecycleDisciple is an independent sustainability platform that helps people make more thoughtful, practical choices in everyday life. We focus on clarity over guilt, and progress over perfection. We publish articles, guides, and curated products that support sustainable decision-making.
Who is behind RecycleDisciple?
RecycleDisciple was founded by David Spencer. It is intentionally small, independent, and transparent. You can learn more on our About Us page.
Is the free guide really free?
Yes. The guide is a downloadable resource with no hidden costs, no required email signup wall, and no upsell attached. We created it because we believe everyone deserves access to clear sustainability information.
Do I need to be an expert to use this site?
Not at all. RecycleDisciple is designed for people who are curious but not sure where to start. Our content is written in plain language and focuses on practical steps, not jargon.
Do you sell products?
Yes. We offer a small, curated selection of products in our shop. Every product is chosen based on durability, material quality, and whether it genuinely reduces waste compared to typical alternatives. We would rather carry fewer products we trust than fill a catalog with questionable items.
Do you use affiliate links?
Occasionally. When we do, they are clearly disclosed. Affiliate relationships never influence our editorial recommendations. For full details, see our Transparency and Disclosures page.
What makes RecycleDisciple different from other sustainability sites?
We do not pressure you to be perfect. We do not use vague language like “eco-friendly” without explanation. We do not encourage you to buy more things. Our approach is grounded in how systems actually work, not how marketing says they work.
Can I contribute or write for RecycleDisciple?
We are open to guest contributions from people with relevant experience or perspective. If you are interested, please contact david@recycledisciple.com with the subject line “Contributor” and a brief description of what you would like to write about.
How can I support RecycleDisciple?
The best way to support us is to share our content with someone who might find it useful. You can also shop our curated products, follow our updates, and send us feedback. Word of mouth from real people matters more than any marketing campaign.
